She cited the family’s difficult year following the death of her first child and discovering she was pregnant with their fourth child as reasons behind her decision. Samantha has been praised for turning Smythson around and establishing it as a fashion brand.

Samantha is often admired for her fashion sense and for bringing a fresh style into Downing Street.
