Kate is the youngest person to have received six Academy Award nominations. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in ‘The Reader’ in 2008. In the same year she won two Golden Globe Awards and a BAFTA. She has starred alongside almost all of Hollywood’s leading men.

Last year Kate narrated a documentary called ‘A Mother’s Courage: Talking Back to Autism’. This led to her creating the non-profit organisation The Golden Hat whose mission is to eliminate barriers for people with autism.
