In 2010 Christine water-skied across the English Channel in one hour and 40 minutes to raise money for Sport Relief.

She was inspired to take the challenge following a trip to Uganda the year before with Comic Relief. During the 22-mile route across the world’s busiest shipping lane, she fell in eight times and encountered 8ft waves.

Christine started her television career as a runner in Belfast. She soon trained to become a floor manager and then moved into presenting. She can be seen daily on ITV’s ‘Daybreak’.
